About Superstof
Christoff van Wyk (a.k.a Superstof) is a professional designer and artist based in South Africa. He has over 15 years of experience as a graphic designer, photographer, artist, digital marketer and LEGO enthusiast. The idea of Superstof came about as an expression of his various interests and alter egos.
The Many Hats
Christoff has always had a passion for drawing and painting. This lead to him studying a 3-year diploma in Graphic Design at CPUT. For the past 15 years he has been working as a professional graphic designer at agencies and in-house. But as any graphic designer will know, you are never “just” a designer. Christoff also does event and creative photography, illustration, web design, social media managing, digital marketing, videography and content creation. He still does traditional art such as oil painting in his spare time.
The Birth of SuperstofBricks
Christoff’s latest passion has been creating with LEGO pieces. His first MOC (My Own Creation) was a replica of the Cape Town City Hall facade, which was constructed with over 8000 LEGO pieces. He has also created a collection of Fynbos flowers, which he entered into LEGO Ideas with the hopes to turn it into an official LEGO set. He often exhibits with CapeLUG, the local LEGO Users Group.
