Project Description

The challenge: celebrate South African heritage using only the colours of the South African flag – red, blue, yellow, green, black and white.

South African heritage has a colourful spectrum, from traditional fabrics to our flavourful dishes, from our beaches to the bush to the desert, from our wildlife to our urban life. My illustrations focus on these elements, particularly those words that are uniquely South African.
